WebSurv

 
 

WebSurv is the North West Region's online surveillance database, providing live online access to infectious disease data for health professionals. The database is managed by HPA NW Regional Epidemiology Unit and comprises facilities to upload, view and analyse surveillance data, according to levels of permission.

 
 
 
 

The database combines laboratory reports with statutory notifications and also hosts data from the Enhanced Surveillance Schemes run in the North West, including meningococcal disease, influenza and E. coli O157.

Access to the Surveillance Website is via NHSNet and requires a user ID and Password.

Enhanced Tuberculosis Surveillance - Online data

 
 

This option enables interrogation of the NW HPA Enhanced Surveillance TB dataset. Using this function tables and charts of aggregated data can be produced. Analysis can be performed at North West Region, Strategic Health Authority, Primary Care Trust and Local Authority levels. Data is available for 2000 onwards. Where denominator data is available it is possible to calculate rates in addition to analysis of frequency. The following variables are available for analysis quarter, year, age group, sex, ethnic group, born in the UK, site of disease and sputum result.

KC60 Data Online

 
 

The Sexually Transmitted Infections Data Selector is an interactive online system that contains annual KC60 data for North West England from 1995 to 2004, and allows the data to be queried by infection, gender, and age group, at a regional, strategic health authority, county or clinic level. This online resource has been developed in collaboration with the North West Public Health Observatory and Liverpool John Moores University.
